This week’s Shabbat menu features lentil soup, seared duck breast with a berry reduction, lemon and garlic string beans and good old-fashioned brownies for dessert.
In the winter I love when meals start off with a soup–it warms everyone up from the cold outside. Lentils are hearty, healthy and delicious.
Duck is a delicious meat and every time I make it I ask myself why I make it so rarely. I decided to have string beans as a side, since the duck dish is very rich. Rich and healthy make a perfect meal.
Wishing everyone a warm and delicious Shabbat!
