This is a recipe for strawberry bruschetta with goat cheese, basil and balsamic vinegar. This is a perfect dish to make for breakfast, brunch, a snack for later in the day, or a starter for dinner. Plus, it looks beautiful and tastes incredible.

Ingredients

  • 1 long French baguette, cut into 1-inch slices
  • 10 oz goat cheese
  • 3 tbsp (really good) balsamic aged vinegar
  • 1/2 lb strawberries (halved and quartered if really big)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • fresh basil (optional)

Instructions

  • 1. Toast the slices of bread.
  • 2. Drizzle olive oil over all the toasted bread.
  • 3. Smear the goat cheese over the olive oil.
  • 4. Top with the cut up strawberries and drizzle the balsamic vinegar.
  • 5. Garnish with basil leaves, if desired.
