Grilled Skirt Steak

This is a recipe for grilled skirt steak. I marinate the steak overnight in red wine vinegar, cilantro, garlic and cumin, giving it amazing flavor. The best part is, you have your protein ready in just 15 minutes. On a busy night, that’s a great thing.

Flavorful and juicy, this is one great steak. I like to serve mine with potatoes and grilled vegetables. For those of you that are watching your weight, omit the potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 7 large cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 3 cups fresh cilantro, coarsely chopped
  • 8, 6-8 oz skirt steaks

Instructions

  • 1. Mix garlic, cumin, salt, pepper, vinegar and cilantro.
  • 2. Place steaks in marinade and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • 3. Heat grill and bring steaks to room temperature. Grill steaks on each side for 5-7 minutes.
  • 4. Remove from heat, cover and rest for 5 minutes for juicer meat, then serve!
